Meet Robert Herring, Au.D.

Dr. Robert Herring has been providing Audiology services in the Brazos Valley for over 20 years. He has spent many years working directly with an Ear, Nose, and Throat physician practice in Bryan/College Station. In 2009 he decided to become an independent provider of hearing health care services and opened Listen Hear Audiology Center. Dr. Herring received his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida and Master of Science degree from Lamar University. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and member of the Texas Academy of Audiology. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology. He has served on the Professional Development Committee for the American Academy of Audiology. He also served on the board and as President for the Scott Haug Audiology Foundation.

As previously mentioned, Dr. Herring worked many years in a fast paced clinical environment where he encountered a wide variety of ear and hearing disordered patients. This has allowed him to be able to recognize specific ear and hearing problems and make the most appropriate recommendation for the individual patients. It was also this fast paced work environment that brought Dr. Herring to the conclusion he could provide more comprehensive and personal care by creating Listen Hear Audiology Center. This would be a place where patients could feel unhurried and welcomed and more a part of the process for hearing rehabilitation. Dr. Herring wants his patients to feel like they are in his living room, not a clinic. Listen Hear Audiology Center is also the only private Audiology practice in Bryan/College Station.

Dr. Herring is married and has a son and daughter. He previously played trumpet with the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra retiring from his post in 2012. He still enjoys playing with various musical groups in the area. He and his family attend Christ United Methodist Church in College Station. He also enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family.
